Blades in the Sleet

On frozen rinks, I lace up tight,

My blades carve through the ice,

The roar of the crowd, the game in sight,

My passion burning bright.

The puck drops and I take flight,

My stick strike with precision,

I weave and dodge, left and right,

My opponents left in confusion.

I’m a warrior on the ice,

my heart beating as fast as a drum,

Each game a chance to sacrifice,

For the glory of a hard-fought win.

I skate with power and grace,

My body pushed to the limit,

But I never give up the chase,

My spirit will never diminish.
