Honeymoon Bloom
April 28, 2021
Through a glowing bright moon, crystalized ideas turn a honeymoon bloom
The fractals surround me, merge into my flesh
My blood turns azure and sapphires seep out of my wounds
I breathe seafoam green in puffs of chilly air
I feel my body shiver but I stand here in peace
Because I know I’m surrounded by versions of myself
Woven by my once-crimson droplets
Molded by my dying tears
Emerald fluid leaks out of the pen I hold
My hand already stained with faded green smudges
All I truly know of in this world
Are these exquisite extensions of myself
Better expressed than my body ever could
They torment me and they comfort me
They are me and are opposite of me
I could go on forever and yet I sit silent
For at least I’ve experienced the wonder of all this
Everything else just fades away
